The mission of the National
Conference of Dalit Organisations (NACDOR) is to eliminate prejudices,
discrimination, hatred and inequalities based on caste, race, or gender. Strongly
believing in equal dignity and rights of all, NACDOR’s mission is to ensure
economic, social, cultural and political emancipation of Dalits by their
initiative, self-help, unity and action.
VISION STATEMENT
The vision of the National
Conference of Dalit Organisations (NACDOR) is to ensure a society in which all
individuals have equal dignity and rights and there are no prejudices,
discrimination, hatred and inequalities based on caste, race, or gender.
OBJECTIVES
The
principal objectives of the NACDOR are:

To
reorganize Dalit Community as a self-reliant, progressive, secular, dynamic and
adaptable social, economic, cultural, entrepreneurial and political force.

To
develop and support social, economic, cultural, political, intellectual and
entrepreneurial skills, initiatives and leadership among the Dalits.
p
To
encourage all generations of Dalits, especially the younger generations, to accept
challenges in the field of economy, society, culture, economy, polity,
entrepreneurship, science, technology, media and administration and to become
the finest example in all areas of life, scholarship and achievement.

To
encourage, support and develop Dalit Culture, Dalit Art, Dalit
folk-cultural traditions, Media, traditional and modern Theaters.

To seek,
support and encourage economic, social, cultural, political, and educational equality
of all citizens through its programme, campaigns and activities
p
To
encourage Dalits to deny, resist, oppose and fight all inequitous traditions, behaviors,
practices and actions of the individuals, groups or associations through democratic
and constitutional methods
p
To
achieve equality of dignity and rights
p
To eliminate
caste prejudices and gender bias among the citizens of the
p
To
remove all barriers of casteist discrimination and gender bias through
democratic processes
p
To
seek enactment and enforcement of constitutional guarantees by the Central and
State governments
p
To
inform the public of the adverse effects of caste discrimination and gender
bias and to seek their elimination
p
To
educate persons as to their constitutional rights and to take all lawful action
to secure the exercise thereof, and to take any other lawful action in
furtherance of these objectives, consistent with the NACDOR’s policy and programme decided from time to time
